An agreement reached with Avis Budget Car Rental was announced today at the National Business Travel Association in Chicago.

Starting in August, Avis will use Where2, a global positioning system (GPS) provided by Garmin International, to offer customers navigation and traffic information, reports the Kansas City Star.

The unit will use Clear Channel’s Total Traffic Network, which advises drivers of accidents, weather problems, road construction and assist them around the problem.

Besides doubling as an Mp3 player, the Kansas City Star reported, Where2 is also a multi-lingual system, providing 20 text languages and 36 voice options to help inform drivers.
