DEARBORN, MI – Randy Gold, Ford Motor Company’s general manager of rental operations has elected to retire after 30 years of service, effective Dec. 31, 2006. Gold has held numerous assignments in Ford Division Sales and Marketing working with Ford dealers, as well as in North American Fleet Lease and Remarketing Operations (NAFLRO) working closely with major commercial, rental, and government fleet customers and auctions. No replacement for Gold has been announced at this time.

Since Sept. 2005, Gold has been responsible for all sales of Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury cars and trucks to daily rental customers. Before this assignment, he was Ford Motor Company’s manager of auction operations, where he was responsible for remarketing of all Ford Motor Company vehicles through national auctions. Gold was also Ford Division field operations manager, Central region fleet sales manager, and fleet management company account manager.
