Prosecutors dropped charges recently against rapper Beanie Sigel for keeping a rental car past its due date after Payless Car Rental decided that it was all a misunderstanding, the Philly News reports.

The prosecution withdrew charges of theft and unauthorized use of a vehicle.

Sigel had rented a 2007 Nissan Altima on July 23 from a Payless location in Southwest Philadelphia. The Altima was due back Aug. 13. The rental company reported it stolen Sept. 6.

According to the Philly News, detectives went to Sigel's home Oct. 5 to arrest him, but learned he was in New York on business. On that same day, someone returned the car.
