Enterprise Rent-A-Car will locate a call center in downtown Eugene, Ore. this spring, creating about 200 jobs and a fresh breath for the city center, The Register-Guard reports.

The hiring for the center is set to begin in February with recruiters for the car rental company seeking to fill 120 full-time and 80 part-time jobs, spokeswoman Christy Conrad said. A market analysis set for January will determine the precise wage levels.

Call center employees will get health insurance, dental benefits and an employer-match 401k retirement savings plan.

Enterprise is likely to find plenty of applicants. The Royal Caribbean call center, which opened in Eugene in January 2006, attracted a half-dozen qualified applicants for every job it had to offer.

According to The Register-Guard, Enterprise expects the new Eugene call center to handle more than 10,000 car rental reservations and customer service calls each day.
