Enterprise Rent-A-Car and the St. Louis Car Sharing Cooperative, led by Citizens for Modern Transit, have teamed up to bring a new, environmentally friendly transportation option to downtown St. Louis. With WeCar, St. Louisans who live and work downtown can rent hybrid cars by the hour. Metropolitan Square is one of the nine WeCar rental locations in the downtown area.

With the recent closure of Highway 40, commuters are looking for new solutions, and car sharing provides another alternative to those who live downtown and those who need to traverse St. Louis throughout their work day.

The WeCar vehicles will be parked in designated spots near some of the city’s largest employers, close to busy residential areas, and near public transportation and high-traffic areas. This is the first car sharing program in St. Louis available to the general public. In January, Enterprise rolled out WeCar at Washington University.

WeCar membership costs $35 per year. For more information, click here.
