A new electric-car rental service will open soon in Paris, according to Bloomberg citing a report from Le Parisien.

The company Bollore SA will start operations in December. The service is based on the short-term bike rental system in Paris.

French entrepreneur Vincent Bollore owns Bollore SA, which will initially open 250 stations and is expected to grow to 580. Bollore Energie is investing 50 million euros ($72 million) to build batteries for the cars.

Bollore expects 100,000 people to sign up for the service, where about 4,000 cars will be available.
