Enterprise Rent-A-Car announced that advanced reservations at neighborhood locations for the Labor Day holiday are up 25 percent compared to last year, according to an Aug. 24 press release.

“This is consistent with past year-over-year increases for Labor Day reservations, but it’s noteworthy this year because of the recent concerns about the economy,” said Steve Short, vice president of Enterprise Rent-A-Car, in the release. “People are sticking to their plans to enjoy their Labor Day getaways, especially when they can get there so economically.”

The increase coincides with the AAA travel report that expects more people driving over the holiday versus flying. The Auto Rental News article on the Labor Day forecast can be found here.
