At the Kuching International Airport in the country of Malaysia, the Sarawak Taxi Owners Association has made complaints to authorities that a rental car company is operating taxis at the airport location without valid licenses for its drivers, according to local news outlet thestar.com.

The association said it first filed grievances in 2006 and a second time in 2008, but that the rental car company, which isn’t named in the article, continues to operate its limousine and luxury taxi services, and that the company uses its rental cars as taxis as well.

One member told thestar.com that the drivers of the company “drive like hooligans,” and that passengers have complained about not knowing that the company wasn’t properly licensed.
