The Jeju International Airport is going through a series of upgrades and construction projects, one of which local South Koreans are contesting because it will require fingerprints of every airport traveler, according to the The Jeju Weekly. A change that is being welcomed by travelers to and from the airport, however, is the creation of a rental car facility.

The facility is in the final stage of construction and at 60% completion. The completion of the consolidated rental car facility (conrac) is expected early this year. According to The Jeju Weekly, this is the first facility built exclusively for rental car companies in South Korea and will come at a total cost of 80 billion won or about $70 million.
