The Quad-City International Airport, which serves travelers throughout Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois, is building a new consolidated rental car facility (conrac), according to the Quad-City Times.

The airport will build the conrac to house some of the rental car companies operating in the area, said Bruce Carter, Quad-City Airport’s aviation director, in a meeting on Jan. 31. It will provide space for the rental car companies to fuel, service and clean their vehicles. Construction could start as early as this summer, he told the Quad-City Times.

The facility will bring together such rental companies as National, Alamo, Hertz and Enterprise, the article states.
