Geoff Freeman of the U.S. Travel Association will address at the 2012 Car Rental Show why it’s important for the car rental industry to look to other travel industries for help in fighting excise taxes and other issues.

In a general session from 8:30-9:15 a.m. on Tuesday, March 13, Freeman will break down why renting a car is only one link in a customer’s travel chain, asking the question, “Why aren’t we more engaged with our hotel, airline and destination partners to improve the experience?”

In the seminar “Affecting Change in the Broader Travel Experience,” Freeman will guide car rental operators on how to work together with travel industry partners on a grassroots level. He will also discuss industry efforts underway to aid car rental companies in fighting burdensome new taxes, as well as car rental’s place in the U.S. Travel Association’s new domestic travel agenda.
