Sixt Rent-A-Car opened a new location in the West African nation Côte d’Ivoire this month.

The expansion includes a location at the international airport in Abidjan, followed by locations in the central business district and inner city Abidjan.

Côte d’Ivoire has one of the strongest economies in the West African Economic and Monetary Union. "For the company, starting up a station network in Côte d’Ivoire represents an entry point into an intriguing commercial and tourist growth market," Sixt’s Head of Franchise Department Detlef Krehahn said. "It also shows that Sixt is systematically pressing ahead with its international expansion."

Sixt also recently opened a branch in Kenya.
