The Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA), which manages the LA/Ontario International Airport in California, announced that as of Sept. 17 car rental employees will have to park farther away from where the rental car facility, according to the Redlands Daily Facts.

The move means that the employees will have to take a shuttle from another employee parking lot that sits between two terminals instead of the lot adjacent to the rental car facility — a move that LAWA states could make more revenue by marking the lot as public parking only.

One of the concerns raised by the employees is night time safety when traveling to and from the lot, the article states.
