American Express ranked highest among U.S. credit card companies for the sixth consecutive year in a customer satisfaction survey conducted by J.D. Power and Associates.

The annual nationwide study released on Aug. 23 ranked American Express highest among 11 of the largest credit card issuers based on customer interaction, billing and payment processes, credit card terms, rewards programs, benefits and services, and problem resolution.

American Express has introduced a range of new offerings and enhancements this past year including a “tagging” tool on the company’s website to help cardmembers create a customized view of their account.

The study also found that American Express scored highest in both live and automated phone interaction due to the availability of mobile apps, experiential servicing and dispute resolution.

Following American Express in the survey were Discover and Chase. You can see the full study here.
