According to the Charlotte Observer, the Charlotte Douglas International Airport in North Carolina announced Sept. 11 plans to add a rental car maintenance facility to the airport as part of $1 billion worth of projects for the next several years. .

The facility would be located on 100 acres of land off Wilkinson Boulevard.

The plans also include a new parking deck for rental cars.
