According to the San Francisco Examiner, rental car sales accounted for $454 million of a total $783.4 million in concession sales for 2011-2012 at the San Francisco International Airport.

The reopening of the revamped Terminal 2 and other improvements at the airport led to a 14.4% increase in concessions sales overall, which includes retail, food and beverage, rental cars and duty-free shops. Rental car sales alone increased 13.5% from the $400.6 million made in concession sales at the airport in 2010-2011.
