According to the Barbados Advocate, car rental companies signed a petition against Alamo Rent-A-Car entering the car rental market in Barbados on Oct. 8.
Car rental companies are arguing that an international car rental company would put local companies out of business. And, according to the article, this wouldn’t be the first time local operators have petitioned against an international company from entering the market.
