According to DCist.com, car2go experienced an increase of use and membership in Washington D.C.

Daimler's General Manager for State and Local Relations David Trebing reported that the use of the company's car-sharing service jumped from 4,200 weekly trips during the first three months of its inception to more than 6,000 trips per week today.

Katie Stafford, the company's spokesperson, attributed the growth to the addition of 100 cars to the 200-car fleet in July when car2go had 8,500 members.
