According to The Buffalo News, Thrifty Car Rental vehicles at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport were rented to customers in late October with anti-Obama bumper stickers on the cars.

Carl P. Paladino, the founder and chairman of Ellicott Development Co. that operates Thrifty Car Rental and Dollar Rent a Car at the Buffalo Niagara airport, as well as a Thrifty Car Rental at Rochester International Airport, put the bumper stickers on the vehicles to “make a statement.” Paladino is a Thrifty licensee.

Corporate spokesperson for Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group, Anna Boottenhoff, said that it does not condone placing political materials on rental cars and that the corporate office had been assured that “the situation has been rectified.”
