The Louis Armstrong International Airport in New Orleans could see a possible delay in the completion of its new consolidated rental car facility (conrac), according to The Advocate in an article Nov. 11.

The rental car companies said they need three months to finish their part of the project, claiming that the airport’s contractor missed deadlines preventing the companies from completing their portion of the project. However, the person heading the project said the rental car companies’ contractor has also made delays.

The New Orleans Aviation Board asked both contractors for a solution to ensure the companies are ready to operate as scheduled by Feb. 3 to showcase the airport and city during the Super Bowl.
