Buenos Aires, Argentina-based Latin Rent a Car is investing in Brazil with a new website for online car rental booking, according to a company announcement.

With annual revenues estimated for 2012 to be $1.2 million, investors have signed a partnership agreement with EuroIT Technology, which will provide the technical infrastructure for the booking solution. The group intends to invest about $1.5 million to launch in Brazil with the newest portal for online booking available from EuroIt: RDCar.

Through commercial agreements with major car rental companies from Brazil, and also with dozens of small car rental companies, the website promotes free price competition, and motivates car rental companies to show their differences about their client services. “These customers expect a "different and surprising experience when making an online booking,” said the CEO of Latin Rent a Car group Alberto Velez.

Available to consumers will be an evaluation of the car rental companies. “The evaluation will be available on the website so that the other clients can evaluate the recommendations given by other users,” said Bernardo Lafosse, executive director of the Latin Rent a Car group.

In addition, the booking tool allows for prepayment of a reservation, which Latin Rent a Car says brings more security to the person booking and will help car rental companies reduce “no-shows.”

The new site can be found at www.reservadecarro.com.br and the website for Argentina at www.rentacar.com.ar.

“For more than three years, we have been enlarging our client portfolio, and expanding the visibility of the rental companies on the Internet, being the only online booking generator in Brazil; and now, with the partnership with the Argentinean group, we have amplified our area of performance,” said Julian Gritsch, owner of EuroIT Technology and partner of RDCar. “Today, we are already with rental offices in Argentina, Chile, Uruguay and Venezuela, and also with rental offices in the USA.”

RDCar was created in 2009 by EuroIT, which is headquartered in Curitiba, Paraná, Brazil. Today it includes more than 100 large and small registered car rental companies. RDCar receives about 25,000 inquiries per month. For more information on RDCar or EuroIT go to these websites: www.rdcar.com.br or www.euroit.com.br.

In addition to taking part in national fairs, EuroIT/RDCar has also participated in international fairs such as the Car Rental Show and the Auto Rental Summit. “Our participation in international fairs consolidates our brand in the international car rental market, and also, enables us to establish new partnerships with rental car companies, and consolidate international reservations,” said Marco Lopes, partner of the RDCar Company.
