In its third segment in a series of articles, CBC News' Go Public investigative news segment reported Nov. 26 that Budget Rent-A-Car of B.C., a licensee, is now under investigation for fraud by the B.C. Attorney General Shirley Bond.

The Budget licensee, the owner of which also owns the repair shop Budget uses, is being accused of allegedly overcharging for damage claims. Avis Budget Group commented to Auto Rental News last week saying that the corporate office is also investigating the situation. The full statement from Avis Budget can be seen here.
