Arcimoto's Deliverator, an ultra-efficient, three-wheel electric vehicle designed for local and last-mile delivery, will be available to rent on the HyreCar platform this summer in Los Angeles.
Located at the Stock Island Marina Village, the new fun utility vehicle (FUV) hub location will house 21 FUVs to be used as rental vehicles for tourists and cruise ship passengers to explore Key West.
Arcimoto has accumulated 3,102 preorder deposits for its retail series FUV, representing approximately $46.5 million in anticipated revenue.
These vehicles represent the final production series of the FUV before retail series production begins, expected by the end of 2018.
The three-wheeled two-seater can go from 0 to 60 mph in 7.5 seconds, and has a top speed of 80 mph.
Auto Rental News was on-site Friday with Arcimoto staff, investors, and electric vehicle enthusiasts to test drive the FUV in Carlsbad.
