General Motors is recalling an estimated 66 2016 to 2018 Chevrolet Malibu vehicles because a Passenger Presence System (PPS) may have been installed during servicing but incorrectly calibrated to the vehicle’s seat type.
The recall and stop-sales order affect about 1,750 2016 model-year Chevrolet Malibu sedans and Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon pickup trucks in the U.S. and Canada.
General Motors will continue selling the current-generation Chevrolet Malibu as a limited fleet-oriented model for the 2016 model year alongside its next-generation Malibu.
