All off-site rental car companies will move to the airport’s new ground transportation center on March 6.
Penske will assume control of more than 20 Hertz airport and off-airport locations in Indiana, including the Indianapolis, Fort Wayne and South Bend airport locations.
The Travel Savings Indicator features the top five cities where car rental rates, and airline and hotel prices, have dropped the most compared to last year. Tampa and Memphis saw drops in both car rental and air prices.
The agreement is part of Hertz’s plan to switch select corporate markets to franchisee operations, according to the announcement. Hertz Chairman and CEO Mark Frissora said that the franchise agreement between the two companies is expected to grow into other markets ‘over time.’
