The recall, tied to defective attaching bolts, covers more than 94,000 Ford F-150, E-Series, Escape and Lincoln MKC vehicles in the U.S.
The recall affects more than 977,000 vehicles, including gasoline electric hybrid models, in the 2011 to 2015 model years.
The recall covers nearly 603,000 vehicles in the 2013 to 2016 model years.
