Avis Budget Group Expands Ultimate Test Drive Program to Texas
The Ultimate Test Drive program gives customers the opportunity to test drive Avis and Budget rental vehicles at no charge for two hours prior to making a decision to purchase the vehicle.
Avis Budget Group Inc. launched its Ultimate Test Drive program in Texas, according to a company announcement on Oct. 3.
Ultimate Test Drive is a collaboration with AutoNation Inc. to allow consumers to test drive their choice of one of 75 late-model Avis and Budget rental vehicles before deciding to purchase one.
The test drives are free-of-charge for two hours or can be as long as three days for a rental fee. If the customer decides to purchase the vehicle, the rental fee will be refunded after the purchase is completed through AutoNation Direct.
Customers can shop online at www.avis.com or www.budget.com and schedule their “ultimate test drive.” There is a variety of vehicles to choose from including BMW, Ford, General Motors, Nissan and Toyota.
Currently, Ultimate Test Drive is available in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida and Nevada.
“Customer demand for our used vehicles remains strong,” said North America Avis Budget Group President Tom Gartland. “In fact, the number of vehicles we've sold directly to consumers has increased each month since Ultimate Test Drive was introduced in June. We're pleased to expand the program to residents of Texas so they too, can enjoy our no-haggle, no- hassle process and drive off in a well-maintained used vehicle.”
