With the costs of car ownership rapidly increasing as gas prices approach $4.00 per gallon, Mint will be offering during-the-day, hourly rates starting at $4.00 per hour.  In addition, Mint is continuing its signature customer service in Boston, including giving customers the ability to control and modify reservations directly from the vehicle, as well as the ability to contact Mint customer service directly and speak with a knowledgeable Mint employee, not a call center - at no additional charge.

"We are excited to be launching Mint in Boston," said Richard Ull, CEO and Founder of Mint Cars on Demand.  "This company was created to provide a reliable and affordable alternative to car ownership as well as to complement mass transit.  We fully believe that that the people of Boston will love the freedom Mint cars provide when visiting friends, shopping, or going on a weekend getaway."

Cars on-demand is a great way to minimize the hassle of car ownership.  Between parking, insurance and gas, car ownership can exceed $12,000 per year. In addition, by joining Mint, members reduce their Carbon Footprint by taking cars off the road.
