Booking website eRentals.co.uk reports that UK travelers are reserving holiday car rentals much earlier this year, according to a Nov. 24 press release. Advance bookings have gone up 38% compared to last year.

“This year there seems to be many more people booking ahead to be sure they get themselves the car they need for their trip,” said Briony Fairbairn, spokesperson for eRentals.co.uk. “Holiday times tend to see higher demand for particular cars like people carriers or 4x4s as well as things like snow chains and child seats; booking in advance is the way to get these cars and items at value for money prices.”

The site also reports this year’s most popular places for picking up a rental car to be Geneva, Heathrow Airport, Lisbon, Faro and Manchester Airport.
