Avis Budget Group Given Supplier Excellence Award from WBENC
Avis Budget Group was named for the award by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) for the 12th consecutive year.
Avis Budget Group recently received the Supplier Excellence Award from the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) for the 12th consecutive year, according to a Mar. 1 company press release.
The rental company was one of 29 U.S. businesses recognized on the annual “Top Corporations” listing for 2011; others include Chevron, Ford Motor Co., IBM Corp., Johnson & Johnson, PepsiCo Inc., United Airlines Inc., UPS and Verizon.
“Avis Budget Group understands that women-owned businesses drive innovation and competitiveness in today’s marketplace and their continued commitment to doing business with women’s business enterprises is commendable,” said Pamela Price-Eason, president and CEO of WBENC. “We applaud their efforts and congratulate them for being named a ‘Top Corporation.’”
