On September 12-15, 1999 the 4th annual Car Rental Show took place at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. The show encompassed all aspects of the car and truck rental industry, and included a show floor teeming with 88 exhibitors and more than 1,000 attendees.

General session speakers Don Himelfarb, president and CEO of Thrifty, Inc. and Thrifty Rent-A-Car System, Inc., and Ross Roberts, president of Ford Investment Enterprises Co. (FIECO), highlighted the show.

Along with the many exhibitors and great speakers, the seminars were educational and well attended, sometimes actually overcrowded with standing room only.
