PARSIPPANY, N.J. -- To mark the 40th
anniversary of its "We Try Harder" tagline, Avis Rent A Car System has launched a sweepstakes for travel agents. An agent who books a qualifying Avis rental can win a grand prize of $10,000 cash.
Qualifying rentals must be completed before Dec. 31, 2003. The duration of the rental must be three or more consecutive days and include
a Saturday night. Travel agents can enter the sweepstakes by booking their clients through their agency's GDS and entering a special promotion code (available at avisagent.com).
Travel agents who wish to enter without booking a qualifying Avis rental can send a 3-inch x 5-inch piece of paper with their name, travel agency's name, ARC number, mailing address and phone number to Avis Travel Agent Sweepstakes, P.O. Box 427, South Norwalk, CT 06856-9677.
