TULSA, Okla. -- Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group has named Carol MacNeil general manager for Houston operations.
MacNeil was previously city manager for Dollar's operations at Houston's George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH).
Jim Young will take over as fleet manager for Houston. He will be responsible for fleet acquisition and disposal for both DTG brands.
Young has more than 20 years of experience in the car rental industry. He was previously with Pace Corp., the previous owner of the Thrifty franchise in Houston.
Jesse Alba, a 2001 graduate of the company's accelerated management program, has been named the operations manager for both Dollar and Thrifty locations at Intercontinental Airport.
DTG has appointed Faisal Mustafa operations manager for both brands at Houston's Hobby Airport (HOU). He was previously Dollar's city manager.
DTG also appointed Ricky Quesada as the company's suburban operations manager. He will direct operations at all eight Dollar and Thrifty locations in the Houston metropolitan area.
DTG recently embarked on an aggressive strategy of acquiring franchisee locations in order to operate them corporately.
The Houston Thrifty acquisition, which became effective Sept. 15, added seven locations in the Houston area to DTG's corporate operations. These include in-terminal locations at Houston's Intercontinental and Hobby airports. Other locations include the Galleria, Medical Center, Southwest, West, and North Loop sections of Houston.
