DTG Purchases Cleveland Thrifty Franchise

TULSA, Okla. --Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group Inc. today announced the acquisition of the Thrifty Car Rental franchise operation serving the Cleveland Hopkins International Airport.

The structured transaction also includes the Thrifty operation at the Akron/Canton airport as well as six local market stores in the Cleveland area. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Since the beginning of 2003, DTG has added 58 franchised locations in the U.S. and Canada, bringing the company's network of corporate locations to 291, said Jay Foley, DTG's senior executive vice president for corporate operations. "We look forward to continuing our successful acquisition strategy in 2004," Foley added.

The Cleveland acquisition adds approximately 600 vehicles to DTG's corporate operations.
