A writer from the San Francisco Chronicle speculates that Airbnb, the peer-to-peer "space" sharing company, will soon be entering the peer-to-peer car-sharing market.

With an estimated value of $1.3 billion, the company allows its users to share their homes through short-term rental agreements. According to the article, Airbnb surveyed its members and found that car sharing may be a good addition to the company.

"It would appear that now it's only a question of when," the author writes.
