Ex-convict Schemes Against Car Rental Owner in Saipan
A man allegedly stole $500 from QQ Car Rental owner after agreeing to help him recover items stolen from four of his customers.
According to the Saipan Tribune, at the end of April police arrested a man who attempted to profit from helping Saipan-based QQ Car Rental owner James Han.
On March 30, four of Han’s customers were robbed of their passports, cash and other items in Ladder Beach. Han called Annie Crisostomo to ask for help in recovering the items; the nature of their relationship is unclear. After searching the jungle on April 1, Han, one of his employees, Crisostomo and her boyfriend, Cheyenne P. Sablan, 29, were unable to locate the items.
Han offered Crisostomo and Sablan $10 for their help and an additional $100 if they could find the passports. Sablan then told Han that he knew the person who had the passports but the person wanted $500. Han gave him the money, but Sablan never returned.
