U-Save Opens at Newark Airport

Franchise Services of North America Inc. (FSNA) has announced the opening of a U-Save Car & Truck Rental location at New Jersey’s Newark Liberty International Airport.

This new franchise will be one of four locations that opened earlier this year. U-Save continues to build its brand and expand to key U.S. markets, says the company.

"We are extremely excited about our franchisee Dustin Valenti expanding the U-Save brand to service the Newark Liberty International Airport, one of the top 15 U.S. airports,” said Brad Kjar, U-Save’s director of operations.

“Consumer demand for a reliable, cost-effective and customer-focused car rental brand is the major focal point of the company's effort to expand the U-Save brand domestically and internationally."

FSNA is a publicly traded company that owns the U-Save Car & Truck Rental brand.

    One of the worst car rentals 'ever' 'ever' had and experienced. I rented a car for 4 days out of Newark 2 weeks ago and they gave me a Toyota Corolla, that was absolutely beat up, scratches all over the car, cigarette burns on the seat, front bumper was loose and rattling, side view mirror was falling off and was taped and stuck on so that it wouldn't fall off and to top it off the brakes were bad. Only realized the brakes were bad after I drove about 15 miles when I had to apply them to stop at a toll booth. I was an 2 hours late on my return as I was stuck in sunday traffic. I was charged a whole days rental for a total extra of $102.60. I wrote to the customer service manager Gerry Foster and he replied to me after 2 weeks, after persistent telephone calls, that their cars are cleaned and given out after every rental. He did not even address the crappiness of the car. That car is ready for the junk yard at 55,000 miles. He stated that their rules state that for one hour over rye return period they would charge a whole days rental.
    It was pathetic. That car was definitely NOT road worthy and I am shocked that they would rent a car like that in New Jersey. I will definitely not rent from U Save Auto Rental EVER. Please do me a favor, DO NOT RENT FROM THIS CRAPPY AUTO RENTAL COMPANY.
