Maven, General Motors’ personal mobility brand, is expanding its offerings in Baltimore from the Lyft Express Drive program to now include Maven City carsharing.

Maven members in Baltimore can now reserve the carsharing vehicles hourly or daily at 20 locations throughout the city. The fleet includes the Chevrolet Cruze and Cruze Hatchback, Malibu, Tahoe, and the GMC Acadia.
Maven City’s 40 carsharing vehicles can be reserved using the mobile app, and hourly rates start as low as $8 plus tax. Maven has no membership or application fees, and gas and insurance are included with a reservation, according to GM.

“Baltimore is a great fit for an elevated carsharing service because of the number of people wanting to live and work in a revitalized downtown,” said Dan Grossman, Maven’s chief operating officer. “Owning a car in a densely populated urban city is not always practical, and Maven now provides options for Baltimoreans wanting to live car-free or car-lite.”

Maven has expanded to 16 other cities in the U.S. and Canada, including Ann Arbor, Mich., Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Detroit, Los Angeles, Jersey City, N.J., Nashville, New York City, Orlando, Phoenix, San Diego, San Francisco, Washington, D.C., and Waterloo, Ontario, Canada.
