International car rental brand Green Motion expands further onto the African continent with its Feb. 13 announcement of a new franchise operation in Egypt.

Acquired by car rental entrepreneur Mahmoud Magdy Elmasarawy, who formerly owned and operated the Europcar Master Franchise for the region, Green Motion Egypt will be in key international gateways across the country.

Locations include on-terminal and downtown outlets in Cairo, Alexandria, Luxor, and Hurgarda, ensuring convenient access to car rental services for business and leisure travelers from all over the world. With a diverse fleet of vehicles ranging from compact cars to luxury SUVs, Green Motion Egypt will offer options to suit every requirement.

“Our expansion into Egypt marks a significant milestone for Green Motion's continued development of the African continent," said Richard Lowden, Green Motion founder and CEO in a news release. “We are providing customers with high-quality vehicles, exceptional customer service, and a seamless rental experience."

Green Motion Egypt owner Mahmoud Magdy Elmasarawy added, "Established in 2004, our company has been a pioneer in the Egyptian car rental industry. Our comprehensive range of services and experience of 20 years in the car rental industry has enabled us to create tailor-made solutions for our clients, ensuring a seamless experience."

The launch of Green Motion in Egypt aligns with the brand's mission to continually expand its global presence and marks its ninth franchise territory on the African continent.
