Global Business Travel Association Forms GBTA Russia
A formal event is set for April 8 in Moscow to announce the GBTA Russia regional president and advisory board.
The Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) formed a chapter for Russia, according to an announcement on Jan. 29. GBTA now operates across all four BRIC — Brazil, Russia, India and China — countries.
Representatives from Star Alliance, Continent Express and Marriott International will serve on an Allied Leadership Advisory Board to support GBTA Russia.
The regional president and members of the advisory board will be announced at a launch event on April 8 in Moscow. GBTA Russia will also announce its schedule of activity at the event.
“Russia is becoming an important and exciting travel management arena,” said GBTA Senior VP of Global Operations Paul Tilstone. “Establishing this region will allow us to work closely with Russian travel professionals, adding value through our education and advocacy while connecting them with their peers throughout the world.”
