Axle, a universal API for insurance data, recently partnered with Getaround, a global connected carsharing marketplace, to collaborate on allowing customers and hosts to bring their own insurance to the carsharing platform.
Through the collaboration, Getaround guests would gain more flexible protection options and control of their carsharing experience. This also provides Getaround with a new risk management alternative that lowers costs and drives satisfaction.

The Axle partnership, and the new approaches to risk management that it creates, enables a cost savings of up to 15% for eligible customers while improving their overall experience.
"Axle empowers Getaround to instantly verify insurance and reduce operational risk, while providing better pricing and a seamless experience for its guests,” said Armaan Sikand, co-founder and COO of Axle, in a June 15 news release. “This partnership with Getaround brings Axle a step closer to our mission of making insurance data more accessible to parallel industries."
