Avis Car Rental announced Jan. 28 that the company won “Magazine Advertisement of the Year” at the 2012 Digital Magazine Awards for its iPad campaign featured in The Economist.
The “It's Your Space” campaign highlighted the customer experience through a series of interactive scenarios and allowed readers to engage in the message on their devices, according to Avis Budget Group Chief Marketing Officer Jeannine Haas.
“The increased investment in our brand marketing spend, particularly in digital, is one of the key elements in our ongoing global strategic plan,” Haas said. “This honor demonstrates that we are clearly executing against this strategy, which is very gratifying.”
The Digital Magazine Awards honor the best magazines, individuals and advertisers from the digital publishing industry.
