After recently releasing “bike-ready” rental vehicles in Australia, Europcar continues to support the cycling industry by sponsoring the French-Australian Chamber of Commerce’s annual Tour de France lunch.
Europcar has continued its partnership with the French-Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FACCI) by sponsoring the chamber’s annual Tour de France lunch for the third year in a row.
With Team Europcar riding in this year’s Tour de France, Mike Warmington, Europcar Australia and New Zealand’s director of sales and marketing, said the company is proud to support the lunch once again —reaffirming its commitment to road safety and the cycling community.
“Europcar has a strong association with cycling, domestically and around the globe, thanks to our support of both Team Europcar and a range of cycling events across Australia and New Zealand,” said Warmington.“We’re donating the proceeds from the silent auction at this year’s Tour de France lunch to the Amy Gillett Foundation because we’re committed to promoting safety for all road users.”
In addition, Europcar will also use the luncheon to showcase a new category of “bike-ready” vehicles with Thule ProRide Bike Carriers, says the company.
Available at five Europcar airport locations in Australia (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Coolangatta and Maroochydore), the new Mitsubishi Outlanders are fitted with bike carriers.
