Beginning in November in North America, all customer-facing associates of Avis and Budget will sport new uniforms as part of a global initiative to present a more consistent rental experience to Avis and Budget customers worldwide.
"Professional, well-designed uniforms help promote brands, boost employee morale and can also help a customer easily recognize the employees who are there to serve them," said Kristen Maloney, vice president, strategic customer initiatives, Avis Budget Group. "Until now, Avis and Budget uniforms varied in design and appearance around the world, so the company decided to develop uniforms that would have the same look and feel globally, with designs that align with our new Avis and Budget brand standards and incorporate our new logos."
The uniforms were designed by British designer Jeff Banks, says the company. In addition to the rollout in North America, Avis Budget expects to start issuing the new uniforms in Europe in the first quarter of 2015 and in the Asia-Pacific region later next year.
"Loyal Avis and Budget customers can be assured that they will enjoy the same high level of service whether they rent in London, Ontario or London, England," said Maloney. "And we will continue to look for ways to ensure our service not just meets, but exceeds customer expectations."
