Carsharing company car2go has named Paul DeLong as its new president and CEO. DeLong has served as the company’s chief marketing officer since 2009.

car2go N.A. LLC has appointed Paul DeLong to president and CEO of car2go North America. In this position, DeLong will take on day-to-day management responsibility for car2go North America, including the local and regional operations across the U.S. and Canada.
Based in Austin, Texas, DeLong will report directly to Roland Keppler, COO of moovel GmbH, according to the company.
DeLong has been with car2go since the company launched in Austin in 2009, where he served as chief marketing officer.
“As car2go opens this new chapter, the moovel Executive Team and I are confident that Paul is the right person to lead the company forward,” said Keppler. “He has a proven leadership history with car2go, where he has rolled up his sleeves more than once to provide strategic clarity, inspire collaboration and drive innovation at a large scale. ….”
Prior to joining car2go, DeLong spent 12 years at Daimler Trucks of North America, where he held several roles from regional sales, product marketing and product strategy to vocational marketing and custom application engineering.

Today, car2go is seen in 15 markets in North America with access to over 6,000 vehicles, according to the company.
