Maven has expanded its carsharing operations in New York City. Now more than 80 vehicles are available in Manhattan — from Columbia University to Battery Park — for hourly or daily reservations.
Maven first launched as a residential service in New York City in 2015.
Maven plans to continue to expand into the boroughs and throughout the city to provide cars around the corner from where New Yorkers live, work, and play, according to the company.
"New York City has been part of the fabric of Maven since we launched the brand here in 2015," said Julia Steyn, vice president, General Motors Urban Mobility and Maven. "The addition of Maven City carsharing is an opportunity to showcase what we have learned. We crafted this experience with residents of the city in mind and see this as becoming part of the lifestyle of New Yorkers."
Currently, Maven has launched in 17 cities in the U.S. and Canada, including Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Detroit, Los Angeles, Nashville, Orlando, Phoenix, San Francisco, and Waterloo, Ontario, Canada.

The technology, called 24/7 ServiceStation, acts as a computerized service desk — and is certified to withstand severe break-in attempts.
