Avis Egypt Acquired by Ezz Elarab

Avis Egypt has been acquired by Ezz Elarab, a car rental firm that already owns Budget Egypt, reports Egypt Today.

By the end of 2019, Avis Budget Egypt aims to have a fleet of 1,000 vehicles and 50 rental locations. In the beginning of the year, a new Avis Budget headquarters will be built opposite of Ezz Elarab's headquarters.

The Avis brand will target the growing premium segment, and the Budget brand will focus on value costumers.

Avis Budget customers in Egypt will still have access to Avis Budget Group's global network of 11,000 rental locations in 180 countries.
