The new consolidated rental car facility (CONRAC) at North Carolina's Raleigh-Durham International Airport will eliminate the need for rental car shuttles, the News Observer reports.

Designs of the CONRAC show a six-story garage that will house all 11 rental car counters and vehicles. Rather than transporting passengers via shuttles to and from the airport, walkways, both underground and overground, will be built to connect the CONRAC to the terminals.

Another building will be constructed where vehicles will be cleaned and refueled.

Additionally, a ground transportation center will be built for taxis, hotel shuttles, and ride-hailing companies to pick up and drop off passengers.
