Los Angeles Powers Up with 40 New Recharging Sites

The city of Los Angeles met its goal of adding 200 new electric vehicle-recharging stations by early 1999. The project was a joint public agency and private firm effort called the “Quick Charge L.A. Program.” The program is now complete, with 200 stations at 40 sites helping to form a network of 660 stations at 228 sites in Los Angeles County and three nearby counties.
