Affiliated Acquires Replace-A-Car

MATAWAN, N.J. -- Affiliated Car Rental, which operates the Sensible Car Rental and Affordable Car Rental brands, has acquired Replace-A-Car, a company specializing in the neighborhood and insurance replacement market.

Affiliated Car Rental will not change Replace-A-Car's established marketing strategy, said Charles A. Vitale, CEO of Affiliated Car Rental. The company hopes to expand the business in markets west of the Mississippi and to other "insurance-friendly states."
